It is with great sadness that I have to pass on the news that Gerald (George) Scott who served onboard 'Lowestoft' as an EM during the 70-72 commission ‘crossed the bar’ on the 6th Jan 2015, aged 68.
George was a proud member of our Association attending all our reunions and although in poor health was determined to make it to Southsea last October where we were all so pleased to see him, accompanied by his 'minder' and brother-in–law Graham Fisher.
It was a great honour and pleasure to have known George and I have passed our sincere condolences on behalf of the Association to his wife Pauline and family.

RIP George

How poignant to do that on their wedding anniversary, no doubt George wanted that to happen and was looking on from the great messdeck in the sky.
