Cdr Paul Wearmouth who served onboard Lowestoft 1983-1985 as a LT. [WEO] 'crossed the bar' on the 25th Jan 2015, aged 68. He also served in HMS Churchill, HMS London, Collingwood, Northolt, FOST, Forest Moor and Fleet Engineering Staff Portsmouth.

RIP Sir, time served.

I heard about his death shortly after he crossed the bar. He was President of TS Cleopatra based in Harrogate and I was in contact with him for several years in my capacity as Secretary of HMS Cleopatra Old Shipmates Association. I never realised he served on HMS Lowestoft though. He was a really nice bloke, very helpful and worked very hard for the Sea Cadets. RIP Sir.

Sad loss. I did not know Paul had served on the Lowie - some 10years afterme. I knew him when we were both artificers under training at HMS Collingwood. As 'townies' we car shared many times for long weekend leave.

We attempted (and failed) unsupported, the Lykes Wake Walk together.

A nicer guy you could not wish to meet
