I have received an email from the daughter of Jim Kemp (ex PO PTI, J934274) informing us that he 'crossed the bar' peacefully at his home in Portchester on the 12th September 2015.
Jim served onboard Lowestoft as the killick 'Clubswinger' during the second commission (1963-1965)
An ex-Ganges boy from around 1954, Jim spent a good deal of time in Malta and was one of the last PTI's out there and was in the final guard (PO right hand marker) for the closing down ceremony.
Although due to his health he was unable to attend our reunions, Jim kept in touch with me by email and always the typical 'Clubs' had a great sense of humour.
