Lt Cdr (SD)(C) Gordon Perry 'crossed the bar' at his home in Horndean. Hants on the 30 Dec 2015 aged 77.
Gordon Joined the RN at GANGES in 1954 as a Boy Telegraphist and qualified as a S/Lt SD officer in 1972 retiring as a Lt Cdr in 1994.
His other ships include Pelican, Inglesham, Chailey, Centaur, Royal Yacht, Whirlwind, Scarborough, Llandaff (SCO) and London (SCO).
He joined Lowestoft in 1972 as an OUT(Officer Under Training) to gain his Bridge Watchkeeping Certificate on qualifying from the SD Officers School at HMS St George. He was also employed as the ship's Correspondence Officer (CORRO).
Gordon was unable to attend our reunions as he had been in poor health for a number of years, he had a keen interest in Knots, Splicing and Fancy Ropework and also held a Flying (PPL).
