We have been informed that Alan ['Abel'/'Sugar'] CAIN who served onboard Lowestoft as an AB(R) during the 1971-1972 commission has recently 'crossed the bar'.

RIP Abel. I do remember him as a messmate in 3P mess all those years ago. He was a good lad and I am very sad to hear of another one of my shipmates crossing the bar.
