I have been informed by his daughter that my old mate who I joined up with at Ganges and joined the "Lowie", our first ship together, has "Crossed the Bar" on the 3rd Jan 2021. He had been in poor health and was in hospital where he caught Covid. Just thought that it could be put on here for anyone who knew him.

Mike (Sid) joined the Association shortly after we started in 2009.
He qualified as a POGI and when he left the RN became a Prison Officer at Featherstone and Stafford. On retirement he went to live in Spain for a number of years and returned back to Stafford about 6 years ago.

RIP Mike.
