Mike Balloqui

We have been informed that Mike Balloqui who was 1st Lt around the 1976 period "Crossed the Bar" on the 13th May 2007 Aged 68 in Portsmouth.

Mike was the jimmy when i joined the Lowie in July 76 he expected a lot and as a leading hand i just stepped out off line once and was in front of him , but he was fair and you knew were you stood thats the navy that i miss RIP

I joined the ship at roughly the same time as 'jacko', I remember him well as he was billeted in our stokers mess.
Yes, Mike Balloqui was the 'Jimmy' at that time, I'm convinced that Mike was born in Gibraltar.
That is a memory that is stuck in my head.
Anybody able to confirm this ?

I think you are correct Tom, whilst researching him some weeks ago I came across somewhere that his place of birth was Gibraltar. He was also an SD officer being commissioned in 1963.
