The following message has been received from David’s wife Brenda:
It is so sad for me to have to inform you that David passed away on the 6th March 2011 his 67th birthday.
I'm sure David would have gone to the reunion as we did go to another two.
David joined Lowestoft at Portland in March 1964 as an LEM and was later rated A/POEL by Captain J.D. Treacher.
He held fond memories of the football team under POME Hunter and thought that Scouse Morley, Elsie and Stan were really good.
He ended up in hospital in Gibraltar with an eye injury after a match and had to wait for a week before an RAF flight was available to fly him to Malta to rejoin the Lowestoft.
He left the Lowestoft in 1967 having completed the Far East deployment.
David had remarked on the guestbook that he got a lot of enjoyment from the photographs and articles on the Association web site.
