I have received the sad news that Terry [Oggie] Ogden 'crossed the bar' on the 9th September 2014 [aged 66] after a long battle with cancer.
Terry joined Lowestoft in July 1964 as a J/Sea [TAS] and left in June 1967. After various ships he joined the Regulating Branch in 1975 and was the L/REG on HMS Norfolk until he left the RN in 1979. Terry joined the Met Police in 1980 and retired in 2000, he remained working for the Met as a Civilian until April 2011 when he retired due to his health.
Although he joined the Association in 2010 Terry was unable to make it to a reunion due to his health issues and he always hoped that he would be able to attend one but sadly it was not to be.
He and I were in regular contact via email throughout his illness and latterly his wife Cynthia kept me up to date with his health situation. He was always upbeat and positive and we enjoyed chatting about old times.
RIP Oggie
