What sad news about Johno. He was a very nice guy.
I was also on the Lowestoft bike ride with him and it was nice to meet up again at the reunion I attended in Southsea.
We spent the Saturday going round the dockyard and went behind the scenes of the Victory courtesy of Tom Healy.

I know his contributions to the association will be missed.

    RIP Johno

You are so very right about him Tom. Such an unassuming, nice guy. He drove me to one reunion and was always willing to sort my raffle tickets while I helped you dish out the prizes. Always there to help in any way. Not a bad word to say about him just a thoroughly nice bloke. I will miss him.

You are so right Bonzo, I see his cremation is on Trafalgar day just a pity I cannot get down for it.

I have just returned from Johnnos funeral in Portchester. I was a lone naval presence as Sandy couldnt make it due to illness and others live too far away. A good funeral, lots of photos and stories of his life. He achieved a lot and was well loved. A dab hand at DIY as it happens and built most of his own house. Something I never knew, he was one of seven siblings. RIP to a thoroughly good bloke.
