At our RNA meetings we always do the Exhortation before we start and I always ask members to spare a moment for absent friends, this morning I mentioned Admiral Treacher in my Little Eulogy.

"Wot,no Airlocks on the Lowie!!!!"
Sad news indeed. However, a life lived to the full. Rest in peace.
Very sad news, another great man passed.
My time to pass or come again, the wheel of life keeps turning.
My first seagoing skipper on Lowie 1965, what a gentleman, met up again on the Eagle's last commission when he was Flag Officer Carriers and Amphibious Ships (FOCAS) and I was a lowly LREM on the 984 Radar.
He will be sadly Missed.
Only spoke to him and his wife at the reunions, but a really nice guy. I remember his first speech at Chatham, quite and eye opener.
RIP
"Always look back with a smile, you are, who you are."
Godspeed John Treacher and happy landings.
A Celebration Service of Sir John’s life will be held at 1530 on Friday 14th September 2018 at St. Columba’s Church, Pont Street, London SW1X 0BD.
It was a truly memorable and fitting service to celebrate the life of one of our finest Naval Officers and gentleman.
Those who served under his command know what a great man and inspiration he was to all.
The "Lowestoft Association" was represented by several shipmates who were made very welcome by family and friends.
