    Ensign REMN1 Alan Mead

    It's with regret that I have been informed of the passing of RMech1 Alan Mead (aged 76) who served on Lowie in the 1970's.
    For all the ex WE pinkies out there Alan was the fountain of knowledge on External Communications serving in C in C Fleet WE and DES WE until he retired from the RN in 1996 aged 55.

    Alan was indeed a fountain of knowledge on External Communications serving in C in C Fleet WE and DES WE.Well said Darbs. I had a Tot with Alan on his last Birthday a very popular character sadly missed.
