    I see In the Dockyard Dandy CDR Richard Carpendale has crossed the bar aged 87 on July 9th this year. CO 75-77

    Cheers Richie, below is the announcement from 'The Telegraph'

    Richard Maxwell Carpendale, Commander Royal Navy (Retired) died on 9th July 2022 after a short illness, aged 87 years. Deeply cherished, loyal and resolute husband of Jenny for nearly 60 years. Much loved by his sons Hugo and Diccon and their wives Becky and Angela. Adored grandfather to Dani, Katie, Bella, Tom, Mia and Ben. Private family funeral. A Service to celebrate his life will be held at St Mary’s Church, Powerstock on Saturday 24th September at 2 p.m. If desired donations to Dorset County Hospital Charity c/o A J Wakely & Sons. Tel: 01308 423726.
    Ships included........Osprey, Glamorgan, Undaunted, Keppel, Grenville, Lowestoft, Rooke, AUWE, DNOR & FOF!.

    Commander Carpendale was my skipper on the Keppel in 1971, but we served together prior to that on the Victorious 1958 - 1960.

    Sad news a great skipper ,I got to bring the lowie alongside in guzz as a QM a bit scary to see the jetty flying by .RIP Sir.
