Ian Marlow was Lowestoft's POGI during the first commisssion 1961 - 1963.
He was subsequently selected for promotion to an SD Officer and retired as a Lt (SD)(g).

He ran the Seaman department professionally and fairly, managing to keep most people happy and employed in their preference areas contributing a lot to a successful first commission.
